Uprooted and Booted in Blairsville

Blairsville, GA — What began as a routine Friday morning at the local Home Depot quickly devolved into what witnesses are calling “a full-blown horticultural intervention” after Blairsville resident Wanda Henson allegedly took it upon herself to “correct” the plant-buying decisions of unsuspecting shoppers. According to multiple reports, Henson stationed herself near the hydrangeas and began loudly critiquing everything from soil choices to “emotionally incompatible begonias,” leaving customers both confused and mildly judged.

Store employees say Henson introduced herself to shoppers as a “trained botanist,” though her credentials appeared to consist primarily of confidently pointing at plants and shaking her head. “She told me my fern was ‘spiritually unprepared for indirect sunlight,’” said one customer, who ultimately left with a cactus “just to avoid further confrontation.” Another shopper reported being followed halfway to the checkout while Henson passionately argued that her selected mulch “lacked narrative cohesion.”

The situation escalated when Henson reportedly attempted to reorganize an entire display of perennials “according to vibes,” prompting store management to intervene. Witnesses say she resisted politely at first, insisting that she was “doing the Lord’s work for chlorophyll,” before reluctantly agreeing to leave—though not before issuing several unsolicited warnings about “reckless geranium ownership.”

Meanwhile, her husband Gary, who had been quietly observing the ordeal from a safe distance near the lawnmowers, offered what many are calling the most credible explanation of the day. “She’s been watching a lot of HGTV lately,” Gary said, shaking his head. “I think this is what happens when you binge 14 straight hours of landscaping shows and start believing petunias have personalities.” As of press time, Wanda was reportedly at home, sketching what she described as a “bold new ecosystem for the front yard,” while Gary considered hiding the remote.
