HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The 75th Annual Georgia Mountain Fair is set to kick off Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, promising 10 days of music, crafts, and family fun through Aug. 23, organizers announced.
The celebration opens with a special event featuring free admission, live entertainment, refreshments, and carnival rides priced at 75 cents each to honor the milestone anniversary. Daily activities from Aug. 15 to Aug. 23 will include performances by artists such as Gene Watson, Bellamy Brothers, and Crowder, alongside handmade arts and crafts, carnival rides, and a variety of food vendors. Admission is $7, with free entry for children 12 and under, and concert tickets include full fair access. Free parking is provided, though pets are prohibited.
A highlight includes a 75th Anniversary Kickoff Day on Aug. 14 with a fireworks show, while the carnival operates daily and the fair’s village and concerts span two weekends: Aug. 15-17 and Aug. 21-23. Specials include a $2 ride day on Aug. 18 and buy-one-get-one unlimited ride wristbands on Aug. 19-20.
