Aidan Vrazel and Scarlett Hirschy Named Mountain Lions of the Week

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Aidan Vrazel was named Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week following a standout showing at the Southern Showcase, hosted by Jacksonville State University in Huntsville, Alabama. The sophomore clocked a time of 26:11.4 in the 8K, leading the Mountain Lions across the line and placing 229th overall in a highly competitive field. Vrazel's performance helped Young Harris set a new program-best five-man average, as the squad combined for a time of 2:12:19 to finish 37th overall. His effort has earned him Mountain Lion of the Week honors.

Scarlett Hirschy has been named Mountain Lion of the Week after scoring both goals in Young Harris College's 2-1 win over Lees-McRae on September 13th. The freshman forward tallied six shots with four on frame and delivered the first two goals of her collegiate career in just 36 minutes of play. Her second goal, assisted by Emily Brennaman, sealed YHC's first Conference Carolinas victory of the season. Hirschy's breakout performance highlights her impact early in the year and her potential moving forward.
