Andrews Falls to Robbinsville in Smoky Mountain Conference Tournament

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Andrews Lady Wildcats couldn’t shake off their recent slump Monday night, falling 3-0 to the Robbinsville Lady Black Knights in the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament at Hayesville High School.

The loss marked Andrews’ third straight defeat and the third time this season the Wildcats have come up short against Robbinsville. The two teams last met in September, when Robbinsville claimed a 3-1 win.

With the tournament loss, Andrews dropped to 10-12 on the season, while Robbinsville improved to 12-10 and extended its win streak to two.

Andrews’ focus now shifts to the upcoming North Carolina state volleyball tournament, as the team awaits official seeding and scheduling announcements.
