Andrews Has Split Result Against SMC Opponent

The Andrews High School gym was filled with energy Friday night, Jan. 2, as the Wildcats hosted Smoky Mountain Conference rival Robbinsville in a varsity basketball doubleheader.
The evening began with the Lady Wildcats putting together a strong performance on their home floor. Andrews controlled the game and came away with a 55–46 conference victory over Robbinsville. The Lady Wildcats showcased balanced scoring and solid defensive play, especially in key moments, to secure the win and protect their home court.
In the nightcap, the Andrews boys' varsity team faced a tough Robbinsville squad. Despite a determined effort from the Wildcats, Robbinsville pulled away to earn a 71–55 win in the conference matchup. Andrews battled throughout the game but was unable to overcome Robbinsville’s offensive surge.
Both Andrews teams will now turn their attention to their next contest. The Wildcats are set to travel to Franklin on Monday, Jan. 5, where they will take on the Panthers in a non-conference showdown.
