Andrews, NC

The Andrews Wildcats earned their first victory of the season Friday night, Oct. 10, defeating the Rosman Tigers 20-6 in a Smoky Mountain Conference contest. The win marked the Wildcats’ fifth consecutive victory over Rosman, continuing their dominance in the rivalry.

Andrews (1-6) showed improved offensive and defensive play, posting a season-high 20 points. The Wildcats' defense limited Rosman (2-6) to just one touchdown, stifling any momentum the Tigers tried to build throughout the game.

The victory not only gave Andrews their first win of 2025 but also halted a six-game losing streak. On the other hand, Rosman extended its losing skid to four games, continuing to struggle after a promising start to the season.

Both teams face difficult tests in their next games, with Andrews set to take on Murphy next Friday. Rosman, will face Robbinsville at home.

The Wildcats will look to carry the momentum from their first win into next week's matchup, while Rosman will aim to end its losing streak and get back on track.
