BRASSTOWN, N.C. — Shawn Chastain of Murphy won the C.T. Barnett Memorial Limited Late Model feature Monday night at Tri-County Racetrack.

The Labor Day Special / Ridge Runner Classic, postponed from Friday, was held Sept. 7. The General Lee from “The Dukes of Hazzard” served as the pace car. Cast members from the television series “Moonshiners” were in attendance.

Jamie Oliver of Murphy won Limited Late Model qualifying in 13.257 seconds and started from the pole. Chastain, second-quick at 13.470, started outside the front row and led the 25-lap feature to the checkered flag.

David McCoy of Franklin finished second. Oliver was third. Floyd Self of Asheville advanced from 13th to fourth.

A crash in the Limited Late Model feature slowed the race. Track officials said all drivers were uninjured. Ten of the 14 starters did not finish, including A.J.
