Clay County Recreation Department Opens Youth Basketball Registration

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Clay County Recreation Department began accepting sign-ups Wednesday for its youth basketball program, with registration open through Oct. 30.

The program is open to children ages 5-12. Fees are $25 for a wristband for ages 5-7. For ages 8-12, the cost is $60 for the first child and $55 for a second child.

Registration is available during regular work hours at the Clay County Recreation Center, 333 Ball Park Drive.

The center’s published hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sundays.
