Franklin Panthers Sweep Murphy Bulldogs in Volleyball Showdown

MURPHY, N.C. — The Franklin Panthers continued their dominant run, handing the Murphy Bulldogs a decisive 3-0 defeat on Monday, Sept. 22. The loss marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight setback, as they struggled to find their rhythm against a formidable Franklin squad.

The Panthers secured the victory with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, and a commanding 25-8 in the final set. Despite their efforts, Murphy couldn’t overcome Franklin’s relentless offense and defense, failing to reverse the outcome of their previous loss to the Panthers in September 2024.

With the defeat, Murphy’s record drops to 6-7, while Franklin’s fourth consecutive win boosts their impressive season tally to 17-2.

Looking ahead, the Bulldogs aim to snap their losing streak when they take on Rosman at 6:30 p.m. on the road Tuesday, Sept. 23.
