Hayesville Elementary Fourth Graders Top North Carolina in Reading, Second in Math

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — Hayesville Elementary School’s fourth-grade students achieved the highest Reading End-of-Grade (EOG) scores and the second-highest Math EOG scores in North Carolina for the 2024-2025 school year, Clay County Schools announced.
The remarkable results highlight the dedication of both students and educators at Hayesville Elementary. The school credited teachers Gail Thayer, Keisha McClure, Jessica Hughes and Sara Jones for the great results.
“We could not be more proud of our students’ hard work and our teachers’ dedication,” the school stated in a social media post. “This is Yellow Jacket excellence at its finest!”
