The Hayesville Yellow Jackets continued their strong form on Wednesday, improving to nine straight wins with an 8-3 victory over the Towns County Indians.

Hayesville entered the contest riding an eight-game winning streak and wasted little time in adding to it, topping the Indians in what has become a familiar result for the two squads. The Jackets also defeated Towns County in their previous meeting back in March 2025.

The win pushed Hayesville’s season record to 9-4. Meanwhile, the loss dealt another blow to Towns County, which has dropped three of its last four games and now sits at 17-8 overall.

Hayesville showed solid all-around play in the victory, though specific offensive and pitching highlights were not immediately available.

Looking ahead, the Jackets will put their momentum to the test on Friday when they host Hiwassee Dam at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles have had troubles on the mound this season, allowing an average of 17.27 runs per game—a vulnerability Hayesville will look to exploit as they continue their hot streak.

The Yellow Jackets’ recent surge has them playing with confidence, while Towns County will look to regroup after a tough stretch.
