Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets Sweep Smoky Mountain in Volleyball Doubleheader

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets dominated the Smoky Mountain Lady Mustangs in a non-conference volleyball doubleheader on Tuesday, Aug. 19, with both the junior varsity and varsity teams securing decisive victories at home.

The JV Lady Yellow Jackets set the tone early, cruising to a 2-0 victory. Hayesville took the first set 25-11 and followed with a 25-14 win in the second set, showcasing strong serving and defensive play to close out the match.

The varsity squad continued the momentum, sweeping Smoky Mountain 3-0 in a commanding performance. Hayesville overwhelmed the Mustangs in the first set, winning 25-10, and maintained their dominance with a 25-7 rout in the second. The third set was more competitive, but the Lady Yellow Jackets sealed the match with a 25-21 victory.
