Hayesville Sweeps Summit Charter

CASHIERS, N.C. — The Hayesville varsity volleyball team showcased their prowess on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, defeating the Summit Charter Bears 3-0 in a non-conference match at 6 p.m. The Yellow Jackets secured a clean sweep with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-12.
Ranked No. 99 in North Carolina and No. 9 in their class, Hayesville improved to an impressive 13-2 overall record, with a 6-1 mark in conference play. The victory highlighted their dominance this season, reflected in an .867 win percentage and a 39-7 set record. The Yellow Jackets, now 6-1 on the road, displayed strong teamwork and precision to overpower the home team.
Summit Charter, ranked No. 502 in the state, fell to 3-9 overall. Hayesville now prepares for a huge Smoky Mountain Conference battle at home with Cherokee on Thursday, Sept. 25. A win would position the Lady Jackets for a potential share of a regular-season championship.
