Hayesville Varsity Soccer Shuts Out Blue Ridge Early College 2-0

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Hayesville High School varsity soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over Blue Ridge Early College in a home conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 17.


The Yellow Jackets dominated the game, scoring both goals to maintain a clean sheet against the Bobcats. The match saw Hayesville improve their season record to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play, with a .500-win percentage. Blue Ridge Early College, ranked 20th in their class in North Carolina, fell to 2-3-1 overall and 1-3 in conference matches, with a .417-win percentage.


Hayesville’s offensive output brought their season goal tally to six, while their defense held firm, limiting Blue Ridge to zero goals in the matchup. Blue Ridge, with nine goals scored and nine conceded this season, struggled to find their rhythm against the home side.


The victory marks a significant step for Hayesville as they continue to compete in a tightly contested conference schedule. Next up for the Jackets is a road match against Tri-County Early College on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m.
