Heiser’s Hat Trick Leads Mountain Lions Past Lee, 12-6

CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The Young Harris College women's lacrosse team used a dominant second quarter to pull away and defeat Lee University 12-6 Wednesday evening at Ray Conn Sports Complex. The Mountain Lions improved to 2-1 on the season with the road victory.
After the teams traded goals in the opening quarter, Young Harris erupted for six goals in the second period to take control of the game, surrendering zero. The Mountain Lions followed with five more goals in the third quarter, building an 12-3 advantage and maintaining the lead the rest of the way.
Addison Heiser led the offensive effort with a hat trick, while Sydney Craig, Riley Parker, and Erika Baalam each scored two goals. Mary Troyer, Kailey Hanks, and Megan Magill also added goals as Young Harris finished with 12 goals on 40 shots.
Defensively, McKenna Graf anchored the Mountain Lions in goal, recording 11 saves to earn the win and Player of the Game honors.
