Hiwassee Dam Piles Up the Points Against Rosman

ree

The Hiwassee Dam Eagles continued to make a loud statement this season, rolling past the Rosman Tigers with a commanding 68–39 victory. It was another dominant showing for the Eagles, who have turned lopsided wins into a trend. With the victory, Hiwassee Dam has now won five games this season by margins of 29 points or more, a testament to both their depth and relentless style of play.

The win marked the Eagles’ second straight and improved their overall record to 5–3. Offense has been a major factor in that recent success, as Hiwassee Dam has averaged 67.0 points per game over the two-game winning streak. From start to finish against Rosman, the Eagles controlled the tempo and never allowed the Tigers to find a rhythm.

For Rosman, the loss extended a difficult stretch. The Tigers have now dropped 17 consecutive games dating back to last season and remain winless at 0–5. Despite facing an uphill climb, they’ll look to turn the page as the schedule moves forward.

Both teams will hit the road for their next contests. Hiwassee Dam travels to Hayesville on Tuesday, Dec. 16 for an 8 p.m. tip-off in what could be a challenging matchup. The Yellow Jackets are always one of the toughest teams in the area and The Hive is often one of the hardest places to get a road win.

Rosman will also be in action Tuesday night, taking on Blue Ridge Early College at 7:30 p.m. in a pre-break matchup. The Tigers will face a Bobcats defense that has allowed 65.4 points per game, offering Rosman an opportunity to spark its offense and search for momentum.
