HMS Yellow Jackets Pick Up Impressive Win at Rosman

The Hayesville Middle School Men’s Basketball team made the long bus ride to Rosman and returned home with a 53-28 win. The Jackets played stifling defense, blocking six shots and grabbing 13 steals. Hayesville also out rebounded the Tigers 35-22. Rosman was held to 36% shooting from the floor. Hayesville’s unselfish play on offense resulted in 13 assists on 23 made baskets.

The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 16-1 lead after one before taking a 25-8 lead into halftime. Hayesville allowed Rosman to cut the deficit to 11 after three, with the quarter ending at 35-24 in favor of the Jackets. The fourth quarter was dominated by Hayesville outscoring Rosman 18-4 to secure the 53-28 win.

Hayesville hosts Andrews on Monday, December 8th at 5PM, immediately following the Lady Jackets game at 4PM. Come out and support HMS Basketball.
