Indians Put Up Season High in Victory

ree

DALTON, Ga. — Towns County’s offense caught fire Friday night, lighting up the scoreboard for a season-high point total in a 54-35 win over Southeast Whitfield County.

The victory marked the third straight for the Indians, who improved to 6-3 on the year while continuing their late-season surge.

Towns County’s balanced attack proved too much for the Raiders, who fell to 2-8 after dropping their second consecutive game. The Indians took control early and never looked back, finding the end zone often behind an efficient offensive performance.

The 54 points were the most scored by Towns County this season, capping an impressive stretch in which the team has averaged over 40 points per game during its current win streak.

Next up, the Indians will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to face Rock Springs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The matchup will pit Towns County’s high-powered offense against an Eagles defense that has allowed just 15 points per game this year.
