HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Towns County Indians struck first in their Friday night matchup, but the Ware Shoals Hornets buzzed back to secure a 32-22 victory, handing the Indians their second loss of the season.
The defeat echoed a previous clash in September 2024, when Ware Shoals topped Towns County 28-12. The Indians' early lead couldn’t hold against the Hornets’ relentless offense, dropping Towns County’s record to 2-2. Meanwhile, Ware Shoals remains undefeated at 4-0.
Towns County looks to rebound next Friday, Sept. 19 as they hit the road to face the Butler Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. With Butler’s defense allowing an average of 37 points per game, the Indians could be poised for a strong offensive showing.
