Lady Bulldogs Set for Competitive 2025 Volleyball Season

MURPHY, N.C. The Murphy High School Lady Bulldogs volleyball team is set for a competitive 2025 season, facing a robust schedule of conference and regional opponents. The season begins Aug. 12 with a home match against Rosman at 6 p.m., marking the start of a demanding campaign.


The Lady Bulldogs will tackle key conference matchups, including home games against Cherokee (Aug. 26), Swain County (Sept. 11), Hayesville (Sept. 16), and Andrews (Sept. 30), all starting at 6 p.m. Notable road games include Highlands (Aug. 25), Robbinsville (Aug. 19), and Franklin (Sept. 29). A critical rematch against Robbinsville is slated for Sept. 25 at home.


The team returns several key players and is focused on building cohesion to navigate the tough schedule. All home games will take place at Murphy High School’s gymnasium, with start times at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.


The regular season wraps up Oct. 9 with an away match against Hayesville. With a balanced mix of home and away games, the Lady Bulldogs aim to compete strongly in the conference and position themselves for a possible Smoky Mountain Conference Championship and postseason run.
