ree

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Towns County Indians suffered their fourth consecutive loss on Thursday, falling 9-1 to the Washington-Wilkes Tigers in a softball matchup. The defeat marked another setback for the Indians, who were unable to secure revenge after losing 8-5 to the Tigers in their previous meeting in September 2024.

The Indians struggled offensively, managing just one run against a strong Tigers defense. The loss dropped Towns County’s record to 1-5 for the season. Meanwhile, Washington-Wilkes snapped a five-game road losing streak dating back to last season, improving their record to 2-8.

Towns County will look to rebound when they face East Hall at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6.
