Lady Indians Stumble in Loss to Lincoln County

ree

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Towns County Lady Indians dropped a 6-1 decision to the Lincoln County Red Devils in softball Thursday, marking the second straight loss to the same opponent this season.

The Lady Indians, who fell to Lincoln County back in September, couldn't find their footing at home as the Red Devils pulled away for the lopsided victory. Towns County (4-12) has now lost back-to-back games, putting a dent in their late-season momentum.

Lincoln County (9-12) evened its record with the win, showcasing a balanced attack that overwhelmed Towns County's pitching and defense.

Both teams now turn their attention to home matchups. The Lady Indians host East Jackson at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, hoping to harness the energy of their local supporters to snap the skid. The Red Devils, meanwhile, welcome Oglethorpe County at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
