Lady Panthers Dominate Tallulah Falls in 13-0 Softball Victory


BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Union County’s varsity softball team delivered a commanding performance, defeating Tallulah Falls 13-0 in a non-conference game on Saturday, Aug. 23, at home.


The Panthers (5-3) showcased their offensive prowess early, scoring eight runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second to secure a mercy-rule victory after four innings. Union County racked up 15 hits while committing no errors, stifling Tallulah Falls’ offense, which failed to record a single hit and committed three errors.


Union County’s balanced attack saw them average 7.0 runs per game this season, with a .625 win percentage. Their strong home record improved to 3-0 with the win. The Panthers have also outperformed Tallulah Falls against common opponents, holding a 2-0 record compared to Tallulah Falls’ 0-1.


Coming up, Union County will square off against Sonoraville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
