The Union County Lady Panthers currently stand at 2-3 overall with a .400 winning percentage through their first five games of the 2025-26 season. They have yet to begin Region 7-AA play and are slated as the No. 9 seed in the region entering league action.
Season Results So Far:
Nov. 14 @ Towns County – W 82-24 (dominant road win to open the season)
Nov. 18 vs. Gilmer – L 56-53 (close home loss)
Nov. 21 vs. Towns County – W 60-26 (swept the season series with Towns County)
Nov. 25 @ Fannin County – L 66-49 (struggled on the road against Fannin)
Dec. 2 @ Gilmer – L 47-45 (heartbreaking two-point loss in the rematch)
Key Notes:
Union County has handled Towns County convincingly in both meetings (combined score 142-50).
The Lady Panthers are 1-1 at home but just 1-2 on the road.
They are currently on a two-game losing streak, both coming by single digits (17 points to Fannin, 2 points to Gilmer).
Offensively, they’ve averaged 57.8 points per game while allowing only 43.8 points per game (289 PF, 219 PA), showing a strong defensive identity despite the recent skid.
After starting 2-1, Union County has dropped two straight close contests and will look to right the ship as they head into the heart of their pre-region and upcoming region schedule.
