Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Defeats Union County

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — The Union County Panthers fell to the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors 29-14 in a non-region football matchup on Friday night, Sept. 26, dropping their season record to 1-5.

The visiting Warriors, now 3-2, controlled much of the game, capitalizing on key plays to secure the victory. Their balanced attack proved too much for the Panthers, who struggled to find momentum against a determined Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe squad.

Union County now turns its attention to a crucial AA Region 7 contest against Ringgold (4-2) on Friday, October 3, at home. The Tigers are coming off a 35-17 loss to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in their recent league outing, setting the stage for a competitive matchup as the Panthers look to rebound.

Meanwhile, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will host Coahulla Creek (1-4) in another non-league game on October 3, aiming to build on their winning momentum.
