Mountain Lions Drop Hard Fought First and Second Set, Can’t Find Footing in Third, Fall to Shorter 3-0

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris came up short tonight in three sets against the Shorter Hawks (Sept 30th). The Mountain Lions went back and forth with the Hawks in the first and second set but came up just short in both sets and fell in the third set 25-19. Lexie Martin had a game high 18 digs.
The Mountain Lions move to 4-10 overall and are 1-5 in Conference Carolinas. The Hawks advance to 6-5 overall and are 5-1 in Conference Carolinas.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Abby Schirm had a game high 12 kills.
YH had five blocks to SU's four.
Hannah Depp finished with 15 digs and seven kills for the Mountain Lions.
As a team YH finished with 25 assists and 29 kills.
Brooke Thao finished with a game high 19 assists for the Hawks while Helena Kelley chipped in 14 as well.
The Mountain Lions move to 1-2 all time against the Hawks.
