The Mountain Lions returned to The Harp for a conference matchup on Tuesday evening (Feb. 10) and once again showed why they're a force to be reckoned with, and won, 90-80. YHC played a game of chess with Shorter all night going back and forth. The deciding factor would end up being Foward Cameron Bleshoy's interior defense. The Forward came up late with 3 blocks in the second half and had 4 steals throughout the game. The player of the game is Carl Cleveland. The Forward ended with a near triple-double having 10 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds.

This wasn't just a normal Conference game for the Mountain Lions; this was an avenged loss that happened on January 19th, where your Mountain Lions traveled to Shorter University and lost, 84-91. Tonight was a testament of how the season has gone so far for the YHC Men's Basketball Program. Since the new year, YHC has gone 9-1 with the only loss coming at Shorter. YHC has gone through seven long days, going 3-0 in that span.

With the Win, Young Harris rises to 12-2 in conference play and 16–6 overall, while Shorter falls to 5-10 in conference play and 7–15 overall.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  •  Young Harris's 12-2 start in CC Play is the best in program history.

  • Guard Christian Drummer (9.5 ppg) showed up big time having a season high 25 points.

  • Young Harris shot 60.7 percent (37-for-61) from the field, 45.5 percent (5-for-11) from three, and 64.7 percent (11-for-17) at the line.

  • Young Harris was barely able to squeeze out the rebound battle and won, 25-23.

  • Shorter was paced by Donovan Shangase and Chris Bibbs, who finished with 28 and 27 points respectfully.

UP NEXT:

Your Mountain Lions will travel to Murfreesboro, North Carolina for their next contest on Saturday, February 14th, against Chowan. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM.
