MURPHY, N.C. — The Murphy Bulldogs continued their dominant run through the Smoky Mountain Conference with a 6-0 shutout win over the Andrews Wildcats on Wednesday night.

With the victory, Murphy improved to 11-2-1 overall and remained unbeaten in conference play at 10-0. The Bulldogs showcased the balance that has made them one of the top teams in Class 1A this season, outscoring opponents 54-6 through 14 matches.

Andrews, meanwhile, dropped to 2-7 overall and in conference play. The Wildcats have struggled to find consistency on both ends of the field, tallying nine goals while allowing 39 this season.

Murphy will look to continue its conference dominance on the road against Highlands on Oct. 15., while Andrews aims to regroup against Tri-County on Thursday, Oct. 9.
