Murphy Soccer Rolls Past Queen’s Grant in NCHSAA Round 2 Playoff Match

The Murphy Bulldogs continued their dominant run this season with a convincing 5-2 victory over the Queen’s Grant Stallions in round two of the NCHSAA playoffs on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Murphy has been a force all year, with ten wins by three goals or more, and Thursday’s performance showed why. The Bulldogs’ offense was firing on all cylinders while their defense continued to shine, allowing only two goals during their nine-game home winning streak. The victory raised Murphy’s record to an impressive 15-3-1.

Queen’s Grant fought hard but couldn’t overcome the Bulldogs’ balanced attack and stout defense, dropping their record to 9-14-1 with the loss.
