Union County Volleyball Falls to Tallulah Falls and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee in Tuesday Matches

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — The Union County High School varsity volleyball team faced tough competition in two non-conference matches on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, falling 2-0 to both Tallulah Falls and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee but showing resilience and potential for a strong season.
In the first match, Tallulah Falls defeated Union County in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-18. Despite the loss, the Panthers competed diligently against a formidable opponent.
Later that evening, Union County displayed determination and grit against the Eagles. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee took the first set decisively, 25-10, but the Panthers rallied in the second set, narrowing the gap in a competitive 25-21 finish. The improved performance in the second set showcased Union County’s ability to adapt and fight against strong competition on the road.
The Panthers’ tenacity and teamwork in both matches set a positive tone as they look to build on these experiences in upcoming games. On Thursday, Aug.21, the Lady Panthers will host Franklin and Pickens counties.
