Safe Pet Project is thrilled to announce that its 2nd Annual Tales of Hope Gala, held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Brasstown Valley Resort, raised over $7,500 to support local animal welfare programs.

The evening brought together community members, leaders, local business partners, and animal advocates for a festive celebration featuring an Appalachian-inspired dinner, live acoustic music by Steve Vaclavik, and a bustling auction boasting over 50 unique items donated by generous local merchants and organizations.

"It was so gratifying gathering with others that support Safe Pet Project’s mission,” said attendee Jackie Jenkins. “Everyone enjoyed themselves and enthusiastically bid on the auction items, knowing it was to support our furry friends in need.”

The night’s live and silent auctions featured exceptional contributions from community staples including the John C. Campbell Folk School, Lucky Dog Restaurant Group, The Ridges Marina, and Papa’s Trinkets.

"This event is a testament to how deeply our community cares for its animals," said Diane Touroo, President of Safe Pet Project. "Thanks to everyone who came out, bid, and supported our mission. Raising over $7,500 allows us to keep our TNR, microchipping, and rescue support running strong for the year ahead."

Funds raised from the gala directly power Safe Pet Project’s vital programs, including Community Assistance, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), Foster Program, Free Microchipping, and Low-Cost Spay/Neuter services for cats and dogs across the region.

Safe Pet Project extends its deepest gratitude to all attendees, auction donors, volunteers, and sponsors whose generosity made the 2nd Annual Tales of Hope Gala an overwhelming success.
