Tucker Anderson Wins Limited Late Models at Tri-County Race Track

BRASSTOWN, N.C. — Tucker Anderson of Blairsville, Ga., powered to victory in the Limited Late Models feature Saturday night at Tri-County Racetrack.
Anderson (#17) led the 25-lap main event ahead of Jamie Oliver (#38) of Murphy, N.C., in second and Shawn Chastain (#00) of Murphy in third. The win highlighted a strong showing by drivers from North Georgia and Western North Carolina.
In the 604 Crate Late Models, Ricky Smith (#88) of Hiawassee, Ga., won the 20-lap feature after posting the fastest qualifying time of 13.743 seconds. Cody Gloyne (#32) of Cherokee, N.C., finished second, followed by Jason Berrong (#56) of Murphy in third.
David McCoy (#187) of Franklin, N.C., took the 602 Crate Late Models 20-lap victory, also setting quick time in qualifying. It was McCoy's second win in a row. Michael Barnett (#37) of Hayesville, N.C., placed second, and Shannon Helton (H31) of Murphy was third.
Caden Hall (#225) of Hayesville won the Hobby Sportsman 15-lap feature. Mark Conley (#18) of Blue Ridge, Ga., finished second.
Brawley Stillwell (#91) of Andrews, N.C., claimed the Open Wheel Mods feature and Roger Beaver (#2) of Murphy won the Street Stocks, holding off a hard-charging Charles Devine.
Christopher Kane (#11) of Murphy topped the bonus Modified Front Wheel Drives race. Mitchell Ledbetter (#7707) of Hayesville led the Front Wheel Drives, followed by Logan Ledbetter (#33) of Hayesville.
Jason Newton (#08) of Murphy was the lone finisher in the Crown Vic division after several competitors retired.
Tri-County is scheduled to return to action on Friday, June 26 with cars on the track at 7:30 p.m.
