Union County, GA — Great news for families in Union County! Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, every student enrolled in Union County Schools will receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost, thanks to the district's participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
By joining the CEP program, Union County is eliminating the need for families to submit meal applications—cutting down on paperwork and administrative costs. More importantly, this move ensures that all students have access to healthy, nutritious meals every school day without financial strain on parents.
The schools participating in this initiative include:
Woody Gap
Union County Primary
Union County Elementary
Union County Middle
Union County High
“This is a big step forward in supporting our students’ health and academic success,” said a Union County Schools representative. “Children need healthy meals to learn, and we’re proud to offer them at no cost every single day.”
The district's food service program receives support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
