Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina women’s golf concludes the fall portion of its 2026-27 schedule Monday and Tuesday, traveling to South Carolina's Lowcountry for the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston at The Plantation Course at Edisto.

The tournament opens with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Monday and includes 36 holes of continuous play on the par 71, 5,980-yard course. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20. Live scoring of each round is available online through the Scoreboard app, powered by Clippd.

The 15-team field includes the Catamounts and host College of Charleston, along with Bradley, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Elon, Georgia State, High Point, Jacksonville, Presbyterian, Radford, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, West Georgia, and Western Michigan.

Junior Elsa Maren Steinarsdóttir, who has led the Catamounts in three of their four tournaments this season, guides the Catamount scoring five into the fall’s final event. She is flanked by freshman Marissa Scaletta and junior Annalee Caveney, who is coming off her season-best 22nd-place finish. Freshmen Julia Capellini and Julie Mathea Busch Braathen round out WCU’s lineup.

Steinarsdóttir led WCU to an eighth-place team finish at last year’s event, pacing the Catamounts in a tie for sixth with a 6-over-par 219.

Paired with golfers from Bradley and Radford, the WCU opens Monday’s first round between Holes No. 7-10.
