ANDREWS, N.C. — The Andrews Wildcats suffered their ninth consecutive defeat, falling 46-14 to the Anderson Cavaliers on Friday night. The loss dropped Andrews to 0-4 on the season, while Anderson C celebrated their first victory, improving to 1-2.
Despite the lopsided score, the Wildcats showed a spark offensively, posting their highest-scoring game of the season with 14 points. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cavaliers’ dominant performance.
The Wildcats now look to rebound as they hit the road to face Swain County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 in their first Smoky Mountain Conference matchup of the season.
