HAYESVILLE, N.C. — Hayesville kept its dominance over rival Andrews intact with a 3-1 victory Wednesday night, improving to 4-3-1 on the season and handing the Wildcats their third straight loss.
The Yellow Jackets, playing at home, have now won four straight meetings against Andrews dating to last season, including a 6-0 rout on Oct. 23, 2024, and a 2-1 decision at home two weeks prior. Their last draw with the Wildcats came in a 1-1 tie on Oct. 18, 2023.
Andrews, now 1-5, has struggled lately but gets no reprieve: The Wildcats travel to face Highlands at 6 p.m. Thursday. Hayesville, meanwhile, heads to the Highlanders on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.
