Bluegrass Concert to Benefit Peacock Roof Fund Set for April 11

A night of Appalachian music and community support is planned for Saturday, April 11, as the Peacock Performing Arts Center hosts a fundraising concert to support repairs to its facility.

North Carolina-based quintet Unspoken Tradition will headline the event, bringing a blend of high-energy bluegrass and traditional Appalachian storytelling. Known for their impassioned performances and nostalgic sound, the group’s music reflects both the intensity and sincerity of the region’s musical roots.

The concert will also feature an opening performance by Tommy Townsend, beginning at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Peacock’s roof fund, supporting ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the historic venue. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association.

Organizers encourage community members and visitors alike to attend, noting the event offers an opportunity to enjoy live music while contributing to the preservation of a local cultural landmark.

Tickets are available online through the Peacock Performing Arts Center’s ticketing platform.
