Clay County 4-H Team Hosts Lasagna Dinner & Silent Auction to Fund State Championship Trip

The Clay County 4-H silver medal-winning team is turning up the heat in the kitchen this evening as they host a Lasagna Dinner & Silent Auction Fundraiser to support their upcoming trip to the State Championship Dinah Gore 4-H Healthy Food Challenge.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 25 Riverside Cir., Hayesville, NC. Organizers from the Clay County Crock Pots are inviting the community to come hungry and support these talented young people as they prepare for the next step in state competition.

Tickets are available for $10 per plate if purchased in advance, or $15 per plate on the day of the event (limited quantities available). Each plate includes lasagna, bread, salad, dessert, and a drink. A silent auction will also be held during the dinner to help raise additional funds.

“The Clay County Crock Pots are serving up success!” the group announced, highlighting the team’s recent silver medal achievement and their drive to compete at the state level.

A group of enthusiastic 4-H members wearing green medals and shirts is pictured on the event flyer, representing the dedicated youth participants.

For tickets or more information, contact Kiffney Stokes at (828) 389-6305 or via email at kiffney.stokes@ncsu.edu. The fundraiser is organized with support from NC Cooperative Extension.

Community members are encouraged to attend, enjoy a hearty Italian meal, and help send Clay County’s rising 4-H stars to the state championship.
