Clay County EMS Director Jeff Ledford Steps Down to Lead New Training Center

Clay County EMS Director Jeff “Silver Fox” Ledford is stepping down from the agency’s top post to lead its new Immersion Room, a 360-degree simulation training center, while David Crisp takes over as director, Clay County Emergency Services announced.

Ledford has headed Clay County EMS for many years, guiding its growth and delivery of emergency care. He will remain with the agency as coordinator of the Immersion Room, a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver realistic, hands-on training for EMS students, current providers and emergency management agencies across the tri-state area.

Officials said the training center will better prepare responders for real-world emergencies and help raise the standard of prehospital care in the region. Ledford’s new role allows him to continue focusing on educating the next generation of EMS professionals.

Crisp brings decades of EMS experience, knowledge and leadership to the director position. Agency leaders expressed confidence that his vision and dedication will advance Clay County EMS and help develop highly skilled clinicians.
