Clay County Master Gardeners Set for 2026 Annual Plant Sale at Downtown Discovery Garden

The Clay County Master Gardeners will hold their Annual Plant Sale on May 15–17, 2026, at the Downtown Discovery Garden, offering a wide selection of plants and gardening expertise to support local green spaces and community projects. Located just a short walk from Courthouse Square behind the County Extension Office at 25 Riverside Circle, the garden is maintained by the Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers of Clay County

The event runs Friday and Saturday, May 15–16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, May 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers can browse an extensive inventory that includes perennials, native plants, shrubs, herbs, vegetables, and many more varieties. Master Gardeners will be on hand throughout the sale to answer gardening questions and provide advice.

Funds raised from the sale will be reinvested directly into the community through educational projects and outreach initiatives coordinated by the Clay County Master Gardener program. The slogan for the event, “Grow Your Garden. Grow Your Community,” highlights its dual focus on personal gardening success and local impact.

The sale will take place at the Downtown Discovery Garden, located at 25 Riverside Circle in Hayesville. Organizers note that cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted, with a $10 minimum and a 3% processing fee for credit card transactions. No pets are allowed in the garden.
