Clay County Recreation Announces Youth Sports Signups and End of Summer Bash

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Clay County Recreation Sporting Complex will open registration for youth flag football, soccer, and cross country from Aug. 2 to Aug. 11, with no signups accepted after the deadline.

Flag football is open to ages 4 to 13, and soccer is available for ages 4 to 10, with participants required to be 4 by Aug. 1. Cross country is offered for ages 6 to 12. The registration fee is $25 per child, with a $60 fee for the first child and $55 for a second child. Signups will take place at the Clay County Recreation Sporting Complex during regular business hours.

The complex will also host an End of Summer Bash on Aug. 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clay County Recreation Sporting Complex. The event will feature bounce houses, hot dogs, and drinks.
