Clay County Woman Arrested on Drug and Traffic Charges

A woman was arrested earlier this month by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on drug and traffic-related charges.
According to jail records, Laura Surelle Henry, 53, was booked into the Clay County Detention Center on Feb. 5 and released on Feb. 7. She is listed as homeless, with Hayesville as her last known location.
Henry faces the following charges, all currently listed as pre-trial:
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Maintaining a place for controlled substances
Failure to maintain lane control
No additional details surrounding the arrest were released. The case remains pending in Clay County court.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
