Community Clothing Ministry Offers Final Summer Distribution Saturday

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Community Clothing Ministry at Oak Forest United Methodist Church will hold its final clothing distribution of the summer on Saturday, giving families a chance to stock up before school begins.

The distribution runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 990 Oak Forest Road. Organizers said many new donations have arrived since the last distribution in July.

Fall and winter clothing will be brought out in October, according to the ministry.

New or gently used donations of clothing, shoes, hats, bedding and bags for any season are accepted year-round. A clothing donation box is available outside the basement door at the church.
