Firefighters Battle Blaze at Union County Home

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — A house fire tore through a residence in the Jones Creek Road area of Union County early Tuesday morning, September 2, 2025, causing significant damage but no injuries, authorities said.
Union County E911 received a call reporting the fire at approximately 6:22 a.m., prompting a response from the Union County Fire Department. Firefighters from stations 1, 2, 3, 4, and 13, including both volunteer and career personnel, were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews encountered a home engulfed in flames, with over 50% of the structure involved and fire breaking through the roof. All occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, officials confirmed.
Firefighters launched an aggressive offensive attack, successfully knocking down the blaze. It took over an hour to fully extinguish the fire, which left the home with extensive damage.
No injuries or fatalities were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released an official determination.
