Five Kayaks Stolen from Lake Nottely, Sheriff Seeks Public’s Help

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating five kayaks stolen from Lake Nottely, according to a statement released on social media Thursday.
The kayaks, which were stored on land, were reportedly taken by suspects who approached and removed them from the water’s edge. The stolen items include one teal Mcky brand kayak, one green Mcky brand kayak, one blue and white Pelican brand kayak, and two large orange kayaks, as shown in photos provided by the sheriff’s office.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the theft to contact the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 706-439-6066 and request to speak with an investigator.
No further details about the incident or potential suspects were provided. The investigation is ongoing.
