ree

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — In a home match for the Yellow Jackets, Hayesville and the Swain County Maroon Devils played out a 0-0 draw on Monday, Sept. 22 marking Hayesville’s first tie of the season. Despite both teams creating chances, neither could find the back of the net in a game defined by staunch defending.

The result moves Hayesville’s record to 3-2-1 this season, while Swain County inches to 1-6-1. Historically, Hayesville has had the edge in recent meetings, including a 1-0 victory at home last October, though Swain County claimed wins in three of the last five encounters, including a 2-0 triumph in September 2023.

Both teams now turn their attention to upcoming home matches. Hayesville will take on Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, hoping to capitalize on their home-field advantage.
