HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Hayesville Yellow Jackets couldn’t turn the tables on Summit Charter Monday night, falling 4-0 to the Bears in a varsity soccer matchup at Hayesville High School.
The loss marked the second straight defeat for Hayesville, who also dropped their first meeting with Summit earlier in the season. The Bears controlled the pace throughout, capitalizing on scoring chances and maintaining steady defensive pressure to secure the shutout victory.
With the loss, Hayesville slipped to 4-5-1 on the season, while Summit Charter improved to 5-3 after winning three of their last four matches.
Hayesville will look to bounce back Monday when they host rival Blue Ridge Early College at 4 p.m. Summit Charter is scheduled to face Tri-County on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
