Lady Eagles Fall to Hayesville at Home

HIWASSEE DAM, N.C. — The Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets continued their dominant run with a decisive 3-0 victory over the Hiwassee Dam Eagles on Monday, Sept. 15. The win marked the Lady Yellow Jackets’ fourth consecutive sweep, solidifying their strong 11-2 season record.
The Lady Jackets showcased their consistency, holding Hiwassee Dam to between 14 and 17 points per set, with final scores of 25-16, 25-14, and 25-17. This victory was Hayesville’s second over the Eagles this season, following a similar 3-0 win in August.
Hiwassee Dam struggled to find their rhythm, falling to a 1-12 record after the loss. The Eagles will look to rebound in their next match against rival Blue Ridge Early College at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The Lady Yellow Jackets, riding high on their winning streak, will face another familiar opponent, Murphy, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday in what promises to be an exciting Smoky Mountain Conference matchup.
