HAYESVILLE, N.C. — A Hayesville Hot Spot parking lot became the unexpected birthplace of Caroline Coker on Thursday, May 14, 2026, giving the newest Clay County resident one of the most memorable arrival stories in recent memory.

According to the Hot Spot, proud parents Tim and Amanda Coker welcomed their sweet baby girl right outside the popular local business. Caroline weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds, 15 ounces.

The Coker family has been loyal Hot Spot customers for more than three years, frequently stopping in out and about. What began as a routine visit turned into a life-changing moment when Amanda went into labor and delivered in the parking lot.

Hot Spot staff shared the heartwarming news on social media, writing: “Meet Tim, his wife Amanda Coker, and their sweet baby girl, Caroline, who made quite the grand entrance... We are so happy for you and honored to be part of such a memorable moment.”

The birth of Caroline has brought smiles across the small mountain community, reminding locals of the unexpected joys and close-knit nature of small-town life.
