Murphy Makes it Three in a Row

ree

MURPHY, N.C. — The Murphy Bulldogs continued their defensive dominance with a 6-0 shutout victory over the Madison Patriots on Wednesday, Sept. 10, marking their third consecutive shutout and extending their winning streak to three games.

Coming off a 9-0 rout of Andrews on Sept. 8 and a 7-0 win against Tri-County on Sept. 1, Murphy’s defense was impenetrable, stifling Madison’s offense from start to finish. The Bulldogs’ commanding performance improved their record to 3-2-1, showcasing their growing momentum this season.

Meanwhile, Madison struggled to find their footing, falling to 1-7 after their third straight loss. The Patriots were unable to generate any offensive spark against Murphy’s formidable backline.

Looking ahead, Murphy will aim to keep their streak alive when they host Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15. Madison, on the other hand, will travel to face Avery County at 6:30 p.m. the same day.

The Bulldogs’ recent form suggests they are hitting their stride, while the Patriots will need a strong turnaround to climb out of their current slump.
